She was knowledgeable about the house she was showing. We unfortunately were not interested in the house she was showing. A couple days later she sent us a kind email and thanked us for coming and suggested we look at some houses elsewhere. A few weeks went by and Michelle reached out again and after this effort in our behalf, we decided to hire her as our Realtor. We had lived in our home for thirty years, and have many fond memories of our time there. The agent we chose was Michelle Delisser with Berkshire Hathaway. She did this by analyzing the market and comparing the attributes of our home with similar homes not only in our area, but our county. We told her what we were looking for as far as price, proximity to our jobs, school district, style of home and she really zoned in on a certain area of town which checked all these boxes for us. She also understood how quickly homes go in our area and would work out showings almost immediately! We have been in the new house for about a month, and rarely does a day go by where my husband and I don't comment on how much we love our sweet little neighborhood and the area of town we are in. Michelle took our list of houses - and showed us those - and found our current house (which was not even on our list so we are grateful she knew the market so well). She was also quick to get the offer in before a weekend full of showings so that we were able to lock in our house without a bidding war. Michelle's company has an in-house lender that we didn't end up using - so my one piece of advice with using Michelle (or any other agent) is that if you have a lender already, be firm about that. Once we were clear about our lender, Michelle and the lender moved forward quickly to make sure we closed on time. I thought finding and buying our first home would be a 6 month process but Michelle's knowledge of the Atlanta market and her understanding of what we wanted in a home made the process short and fairly smooth!
